Randal Kermit Dove, 98, of Bergton, passed away May 18, 2026 at his residence.

He was born on June 20, 1927 in Rockingham County, to the late Bessie Lena Dove.

Randal was a member of the Hilltop Church in Criders, Va. He worked at Rockingham Poultry in the maintenance department.

On February 4, 1952 he married the late Viola Mae Strawderman, who preceded him in death on September 18, 1983.

Surviving him are his sons, Jerry Dove of Broadway, Randy Dove of Mathias, Wv.; daughters, Bonnie Fulk of Broadway, Stella Ritchie of Broadway, Ruby Crider of Broadway, Carol Jean Ritchie of Mathias, Donna Crider of Broadway, Lena Funkhouser of Fulks Run, Kathy Smith of Fulks Run, Helen Alder of Broadway; and numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Along with his wife, Viola, and his mother, Randal is preceded in death by his son, Dwight Dove; daughter, Evelyn Swain; and brother, Eugene Dove.

Pastor Glen Turner will conduct a private graveside service at Perry Moyer Memorial Cemetery in Bergton.

If you wish to pay your respects, viewing will be held at Grandle Funeral Home on Thursday May 21 from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. The casket will remain closed.
