Obituary

Randy Dale Hart, 72, of Timberville, VA passed away May 26, 2026 at Sentara RMH Medical Center.

He was born January 11, 1954 in Harrisonburg to the late Wilmer John "Pete", Jr. and Charlotte Rebecca Claytor.

Randy was the proud owner and operator of Timberville Towing. He began his career at Richard Dellinger Radiator Shop before founding Timberville Towing in 1989. Through hard work and dedication, he built the business into a well-known and respected part of the community. Then in 2007, he proudly passed the business on to his son, to become what is now known as Harts Towing. Randy was a member of the Harrisonburg and the New Market Fraternal Order of Eagles. Outside of work, he enjoyed showing cars, drag racing, and spending time with friends and fellow car enthusiasts. Randy had a kind and outgoing spirit, never meeting a stranger and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Randy is survived by his life partner, Frances Mills of Timberville; one son, Jody Hart and wife Wendy of Timberville; grandchildren, Faithlyn Hart and fiancé Gavin Strawderman, Bailey Hart; three brothers, Gary Hart, Tony Hart, Curtis Hart; numerous special nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was Paw Paw to Hart Foster and Colter Branson.
