Rebecca "BooBoo" Anne Shurkey Miller, 52, of Timberville, died October 6, 2023 at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.

She was born February 26, 1971 in Michigan and was a daughter to the late Bill and Linda Adams Shurkey.

Rebecca was a stay-at-home mother.  She was a strong believer of Christ and attended Path Church in Harrisonburg.  She had a great sense of humor and was very thoughtful of others.

Surviving is a daughter; Kayla Hottinger, of Harrisonburg, a son; Matthew Hottinger, of Timberville, a sister; Angie Mayberry and husband Donnie, of Radford, brothers; Joe Shurkey, Jeff Shurkey and wife Diane "Cookie", of Timberville, three nieces; Sarah Ackers and husband Ian, Regina Mayberry, Isabel Ackers, a number of cousins, aunts and uncles in Michigan, and her dog; Hope.

Pastor Dan Garber will conduct a memorial service Tuesday 11 AM at Path Church, 1911 West Market St., Harrisonburg, VA 22802.

Friends may gather at the home of her brother, Jeff, on Monday from 6-8 PM.
