Roland Page Souder, 98, of Mathias, WV died September 5, 2026.

He was born May 30, 1928 in Mathias and was a son to the late Ervin Brown and Inez Snider Souder.

Roland was a lifelong farmer.  He faithfully served in the United States Army, Company B, 317th Tank Battalion.  He was a member of the Mathias Brethren Church. Roland graduated from Mathias High School in 1946 and continued his education and graduated from WVU in 1959 with a degree in Animal Husbandry.  He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 29 in Moorefield since 1954 and was also a Shriner.  Roland was a skilled hunter up to the age of 97.

On September 10, 1961 he married Gatha Lee Garrett Souder, who preceded him in death on November 16, 2016.

Per Roland's wishes, there will not be any services.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
