Obituary

Ronnie Lee Parrott went home to Jesus peacefully with his loved ones by his side on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

He was born February 19, 1971 in Charlottesville, VA and was the son of William Forest Parrott, of Charlottesville and the late Carol Lynn Bennett Parrott.

On February 11, 2012 he married the former Ruth Ann Mongold, who survives.

Ronnie loved the Lord, his family, church family, his dogs, hunting and fishing.

He was an auto mechanic for 30 years.  He was last employed as a feed dispatcher at VPGC, LLC.

He attended Skyline Church in Harrisonburg, where he served as a trustee, co-director of the Youth and Children Ministry and was a teacher.  His true calling was mentoring children and young people.  He was an active parent, coach and teacher not only to his children but encouraged so many others to follow Jesus.

Ronnie will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ruth Ann Parrott and their children, daughter; Kaitlyn Magno and husband Joseph, of Shenandoah, daughter; Ashley Holsapple and husband Joseph, of Esmont, son; Mason Parrott and wife Julia, of Mt. Jackson and daughter; Brianna Comer and partner Colton Tumer, of Broadway.

Ronnie was a proud Paw Paw to his six grandchildren; Isabella, Adaline and Evelyn Magno, of Shenandoah, Kota Holsapple, of Esmont and Cohen and Kinslee Tumer, of Broadway.

Also surviving is his sister; Laura Thacker, of Scottsville, two brothers; William J. Parrott, of Charlottesville, Joey Parrott and wife April, of Gordonsville, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his sister; Malinda Carol Tingler, brother-in-law; Timothy N. Thacker and sister-in-law; Brenda Mongold and in-laws; Earl and Ruby Mongold.

Pastor's Eric Campbell and Carl Martin will conduct a funeral service 11 AM Friday at Skyline Church in Harrisonburg.  Burial will follow at Lindale Mennonite Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway on Thursday from 6-8 PM. The casket will be closed during the visitation.  Those wishing to view and sign the guestbook may do so from 9 AM- 5:30 PM Thursday.
