Obituary

Roxann Lilly Freed, 18, of Timberville, passed away surrounded by her family June 14, 2025 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on April 17, 2007 in Harrisonburg and was a daughter to Roy Freed, of Timberville.

She worked briefly at Windcrest Dairy Farm and loved farm animals.  She was a past member of the Broadway High School FFA.

Surviving including her father are a sister; Amber Freed, of Timberville, grandparents; Ronnie and Lucy Freed, of Bergton, her best friend; Zoey Ritchie, her beloved puppy; Stormy and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Everett and Betty Freed.

Pastor's Kevin Gerber and Glen Turner will conduct a funeral service 11 AM Wednesday at the Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway.  Burial will follow at Freed Family Cemetery in Criders.

Family receive friends Tuesday 6-8pm at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

The casket will be closed.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at UVA Medical Center.

Per the family's request, memorial contributions may be made to Grandle Funeral Home, P.O. Box 114, Broadway, VA 22815 to help offset funeral expenses.
