Ruie Jane Shipp Stover, 83, of Harrisonburg VA, passed away December 22, 2024, at Harrisonburg Health and Rehab in Harrisonburg VA.

She was born January 1, 1941, in Harrisonburg VA to the late Charles E.  and Mattie L. Armentrout Shipp.

Ruie worked many years at the Hatchery for Rocco and a member of Mountain Valley United Methodist Church.

On December 3, 1994 she married Charles Linden "Lindy" Stover who precedes her in death on December 4, 2009.

Ruie is survived by, daughter Barbara Martz and husband Dennis of Rockingham VA, granddaughter's: Melissa Bowman of Rockingham VA, Sarah Dean of Broadway, Kimberly Martz of Charleston SC, Pamela Lam of Wake Forest, NC, grandson William Bowman of Rockingham VA, great-grandchildren: McKenzie Bowman, Briella Dean, Maverick Dean, Conner Montgomery, sister, Dottie Ritchie and husband Dave of Broadway, son-in law, Dale Bowman of Rockingham.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Cave and daughter Thresea Bowman.

Pastor Eduardo Carillo will conduct a Memorial service, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 am at Mountain Valley United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
