Sharon Ellen Ritchie, 83 of New Market, passed away on April 7, 2025 at Life Care Center in New Market VA.

She was born on April 23 1941, in Kessel, WV to the late William Lester, Sr. and Irene Kessel Emswiler.

Sharon attended Grace Mennonite Fellowship Church of Harrisonburg, she taught Bible study at Life Care, she loved going to the beach, flowers, taking care of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild.

On May 2, 1957 she married James E. Ritchie, Sr. who preceded her in death on July 27, 2022. She was the love of his life.

Sharon is survived by daughter, Lynette" Missy" Wilkins and husband Vernon of Dayton, sons: James" Jimmy" E, Ritchie, Jr and wife Tammy of Timberville, Steven J. Ritchie and fiancé Cassie of Broadway, 10 Grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren ,1 great greatgrandchild, and many numerous nieces and nephews

In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by a daughter Carla Jo Flick.

At her request her body was cremated. At this time no services are planned.
