Sharon Lynn Wimer, 77, of Woodstock, VA and formerly of New Market, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

She was born on December 5, 1947 to the late Robert McNeal and Veda Irene Schaeffer Zirkle.

Sharon was a homemaker.

On September 6, 1969 she married Royce Dale Wimer, who preceded her in death on April 7, 2022.

Surviving are a son, Robert Wimer and wife Dolly of New Market; a daughter, Susie Keplinger and husband John of New Market; grandchildren, Amber Wimer and Matthew Wimer, both of New Market; Justin Harlow of Elkton; one great grandchild, Addison Wimer of New Market; sister, Barbara Brown of Broadway; brother, David Zirkle and wife Mary of New Market.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, John (Bobby) Zirkle.

Her body was cremated.

Pastor Tim Miller will conduct a memorial service Saturday, March 29th at 3:00 PM at Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 PM Saturday, March 29th at the funeral home.
