Shirley Beatrice Mongold, 82, of Harrisonburg, died July 19, 2025 at Blue Ridge Rehab and Nursing in Harrisonburg.

She was born on May 4, 1943 in Baker, WV and was a daughter to the late Dave and Rachel Dove Mongold.

She worked as a cashier at JMU in Harrisonburg.

Surviving her are a daughter; Sue Moyers (Robert Hite), of Harrisonburg, two granddaughters; Britney Moyers, of Harrisonburg, Christina Dean and husband James, of Weyers Cave, three great grandchildren; Destanie Marshall, Morgan James Dean, Jesse "Chester" James Moyers, a brother; Dewey Mongold, of Baker, WV, and a sister; Esther Parker, of Broadway.

She was preceded in death by nine siblings.

Her body will be cremated.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Sunday, July 27 at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
