Spencer King White, II, 73, of Broadway, VA died July 30, 2023 at Timberview Crossing in Timberville, VA.

He was born May 30, 1950 in Clarksburg, WV and was a son to the late Thomas and Mary Lou Thorn White.

He retired from XPDEX as a paper sales director.  Spencer was a true patriot and loved his country. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served his country during the Vietnam War. Spencer was deeply committed to veterans and was a member and past commander of the Chimney Rock VFW Post #9660 and also a member of Breaking Free, a non-profit benefiting veterans and first responders through working with horses.  Spencer volunteered at Broadway High School as an advisor on Patriotism and earned his master gardener's certification.

On August 27, 1994 he married Katherine "Kate" Anderson, who survives.

Spencer was a devoted father to his daughter, Kathryn Sharrock, who survives, and husband Brian, of Glen Ridge, NJ, grandsons; Declan and Matthew Sharrock, of Glen Ridge, NJ, step-daughters; Rayne Stenger and husband Lee, of Christiansburg, VA, Chelsea Perramond and husband Marc, of Pacifica, CA, step-grandchildren; Madeira and Colette Perramond, of Pacifica, CA, Mariah and Audrey Stenger, of Christiansburg, VA, a brother; Thomas White and wife Julie, of Columbus, OH, a nephew; Samuel White and wife Emily, of Columbus, OH, and a niece; Elizabeth White, of Columbus, OH.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Martha McClure White, Ellen White Pollack.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the Grandle Funeral Chapel in Broadway. Per his request his remains will be cremated, and burial will be in Bridgeport Cemetery in Clarksburg, WV.
