Sue Hedrick Coffman, 75, of Timberville, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 30, 2025.

Born on July 2, 1949, in Chatham, Virginia, to the late George and Viola Gibson Hedrick.

Sue spent most of her life in Timberville, where she built a life rooted in love, creativity, and care. She attended James Madison University and later worked for several local companies including Lee Jeans Co., Aileen Manufacturing, Shenandoah Manufacturing, and Lantz Construction.

Sue was a devoted member of Mt. Olive Church of the Brethren and was known among her community for her warmth, her fierce love of family, and her extraordinary talent in the arts. She found joy and purpose in painting vivid landscapes in oil, and she cultivated beauty through her passion for gardening, often tending her plants with the same gentle devotion she gave to those she loved.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert E. Coffman; two sons, Garret Coffman and Chad Coffman; her sister, Brenda Metz; and her four cherished dachshunds who brought her daily companionship and comfort.

Sue's legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely. She will be remembered most for her unwavering dedication to her family and friends, her artistic spirit, and the peaceful home she created with her own hands and heart.

A public memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway, Virginia. All who knew and loved Sue are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.
