Susan Lord Smith, 71, of Mathias, WV, died June 5, 2015 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

She was born May 6, 1944 in Lansing, MI and was a daughter to the late John and Ellen Newman Lord.

She had previously resided in Arlington for nearly 25 years and was a metro train driver in Washington, D.C. for nearly 25 years. She was a member of the New Life Apostolic Church in Mathias.

On March 1, 2008 she married Billy Smith, Sr. of Mathias, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters; Jamie Busby of MI, Wendy A.E. of Arlington, a son; Billy Smith, Jr. of Mathias, and three grandchildren; Alison Rivas of Arlington, Cory, Emily.

Her body was cremated and a service will be held at a later date.

She was "One of a Kind".
