Thelma Louise Hise Mitchell, 86 of Broadway, Va died on December 25, 2025 at home.

She was born on March 17, 1939 to the late Harry and Rita Michael Hise.

On August 20, 1985 she married Wayne Allen Mitchell who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter: Rickey E. Shifflett and significant other Debra Crawford, Wyle B. Shifflett, Jr. and Sandy, Debra D. Spicer, 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was proceeded in death by one daughter, Vicky E. Shockey.

Rev. Charles Clinedinst will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway. Burial will follow at Bethel Church of the Brethren Cemetery on Phillips Store Road.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 PM to 7 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
