Thomas Lawrence Breighner, Sr., 86 of Mathias, WV, passed away on May 2, 2024.

He was born on November 19, 1937, to the late Paul Albert, Sr., and Violet Madaline Strawderman Breighner.

Tom was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, welder by trade, loved to hunt and tend to his garden, and was a jack-of-all-trades.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammy L. Breighner, of Chattanooga, TN; Mary A. and husband Noah Carroll, of Stephens City, VA; son, Thomas L. Breighner Jr., wife Lisa M. and their three children Blake, Mo, and Brooke, of Manassas, VA; two brothers, John D. Breighner, of Camden On Gauley, W.Va., Franklin L. Breighner, of Mathias, W.Va., numerous nieces and nephews, and former spouse Thelma V. Wynkoop Breighner, of Chantilly, VA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers,

Robert L. Breighner, Charles E. Breighner, Paul "Buster" A. Breighner Jr., and two sisters, Judith A. Stultz, Martha M. Snyder.

Pastor Jonathan Hedrick will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 18 at the Grandle Funeral Home chapel in Broadway, VA. Burial will be in the Mathias Community Cemetery.
