Vicki Renee Harpine, 55, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 24, 2024 at her home in New Market.
She was born December 1, 1968 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, to Ronald and Sue (Derrer) Harpine of Timberville. She is survived by her parents, her two sisters, Angie Harpine of Harrisonburg and Lisa Rogers (husband Doug) of New Market, her nephew Justin Harpine (wife Melissa) of Cross Keys. She also leaves behind great-niece Vivian Harpine and great-nephew Jackson Harpine, whom she adored.
She graduated from Broadway High School and Massanutten Technical Center in 1987 and was recognized this week for 20 years of work at Kennametal. She was an active member of the Eagles and AmVets. She spent many years scoring benchrest shooting matches at Piney Hill in Stanley, Virginia, and scored for the National Triple Crown week at the Kettlefoot Rod and Gun Club in Bristol, Virginia for nine years.
Vicki loved children and they loved being with her. She shared great friendships with a host of people. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and to make others laugh along with her. She was a lifelong fan of Prince and anyone who knew her, knew this.
Join us in celebrating Vicki's life on Saturday, June 1 at 11:00 at Rader Lutheran Church at 17072 Raders Church Road, Timberville, VA 22853. Rev. Dr. Layne Harpine and Pastor Mark Reese will be officiating.
Dress for the service will be casual and, in honor of Vicki, the family asks that you wear purple or your best Prince attire.
A light meal and visitation with family and friends will follow the service in the fellowship hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the Yellow Door Foundation, 435 Merchant Walk Sq., Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22902 to honor Vicki's support of this worthwhile children's charity. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
