Obituary

Vivian June Miller, 102, formerly of Broadway, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at Life Care Center of New Market.

Vivian was born June 21, 1921 in Rockingham County, daughter of the late James Elmer and Beatrice Shickle Turner.

Vivian attended business school in Harrisonburg and raised chickens to pay for her tuition.  She worked for Farmer's Supply and retired from Hill Top Hatchery.  She and her husband, Marshall owned and operated Broadway Laundromat and Wishy Washy car wash.  They also owned and operated the gas pumps across from the former Broadway Motor Company.  She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Brethren in Christ in Fulks Run.  Vivian was a devout woman of faith and read her Bible regularly.

On May 7, 1951 she married Marshall Miller, who preceded her in death on April 9, 1993.

She is survived by her nephew; Blake Fahrney, of Timberville.

She was preceded in death by her sister; Kathryn (Kitty) Fahrney.

Pastor's Scott Budde and Harold Myers will conduct a memorial service 11 AM Friday at Mt. Carmel United Brethren in Christ.  Burial will be private at Mtn. Grove Cemetery in Fulks Run.

Those wishing to do so, may sign a guestbook at Grandle Funeral Home on Thursday from 9 AM- 6 PM. The casket will be closed.
