Wilma Fifer Ryman, 81, of Timberville, VA passed away July 31, 2026 at UVA Medical Center.

She was born September 4, 1944 in Harrisonburg, VA to the late Ora and Myrtle Miltonburger Fifer.

Before retiring, Wilma worked as an office assistant at Broadway Family Practice and later retired from her position as a cafeteria monitor with Rockingham County Schools. She was a faithful member of the Timberville Church of Brethren. When she was able, she enjoyed preparing Sunday dinners for her family and was especially known for her delicious homemade fudge.

On March 20, 1964 she married Cecil Ryman who survives.

Wilma is survived by her son, David Ryman and wife, Tina of Bergton; her daughter Beth Hinegardner and husband Scott, of New Market; son in-law, Ken Fox of Timberville; seven grandchildren, Holly Jobe (Jacob), Andrew Fox (Brenna), Jay Ryman, Paige Ryman, Sydney Taylor (Aeris), Brynn Loder (Bradey), and Jamie Hinegardner; three  great-grandchildren, Christian, Luke, Addie Jobe; and sisters, Carolyn Seilhamer (Larry), Ruth Fifer and Judy Stoddard (Rick); sister-in-law, Patsy Fifer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Susan Fox, and her brother, Ray Fifer.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Timberville Church of Brethren.

Pastor Karl Magenhofer will conduct a graveside service 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
